Wind River Family and
Community Health Care
Wind River Family and Community Healthcare is a Title V Compact 638 Tribal Federally Qualified Health Care Center located in the heart of the Wind River Reservation. We are here to serve members of the Northern Arapaho, Eastern Shoshone and unaffiliated Federally recognized Tribes.
We contracted our IHS healthcare shares in 2016 and have continued to expand services for the Native American population in our area. Our services will continue to expand and will continue to provide emphasis on quality care for all of our patients. We started this venture with one facility, approximately 40 employees, and severely underfunded. We currently have multiple facilities, affiliates, programs, grants, services, and over 450 employees who provide an array of services to the community of the Wind River Reservation.
We have several entities located under the Wind River Family and Community Health Care umbrella consisting of; Primary Health Care facilities, White Buffalo Recovery Center, Special Diabetes Program for Indians, Environmental Health, Emergency Preparedness, Sacred Child Children’s Home, Mobile Health Clinics, Population Health, Trauma Victim Services, Rising Eagle Homeless Shelter, Warming Hut, and Dialysis.
Our goal is to prioritize the healthcare needs of our community members and ensure the best quality of care available. We are dedicated to serving our patients and helping them find trusted healthcare providers and low-cost health insurance. We understand that healthcare can be expensive, and many people may not have access to the resources they need to receive quality healthcare services. Our patients mean the world to us and we want continued expansion of services with excellent care for everyone.
