Under the supervision of the Wind River Family and Community Health Care System CEO, the Language and Culture Coordinator will be responsible for ensuring Arapaho Culture and Language is developed as a viable health promotion and prevention activity of WRCHCS in all its programs and services. The Project Coordinator will utilize the most current and effective approaches in language development and linguistics to promote, revitalize and support the Arapaho language as a successful measure to reduce health disparities and address the social determinants of health. The position works in close collaboration with regional linguists, Arapaho Community Language and Culture Experts, Arapaho governments, education programs and other indigenous revitalization programs in a team-based approach. The Language and Culture Coordinator is responsible for assisting with the development and delivery of all Language and Culture activities, development and teachings for programs. This position is also responsible for assisting with projects related to culture, language and traditional educational programming. The Incumbent may be required to work some evenings or days out of town related to project activities related to Culture camps, cultural site enhancement projects.
Coordinates aspects of language and culture projects;
Update the language curriculum with the Early Years Programs and other departments as required.
Develop, plan and or coordinate the Language and Cultural Classes and Camps
Assist in developing Cultural packages for Arapaho Children involved with Wind River Family and Community Health System programs.
Develop, plan, and implement the Language Teaching and Resource repository
Collect ideas for youth language projects and the integration of language and culture at home and in programming.
Collaborate with the Arapaho Language and Culture Commission in determining priorities for Language Revitalization Plan.
Facilitate meetings and liaise with staff when supporting activities;
Liaise with language program staff and adhere to and promote culture and language activities in the community.
Engage with staff to strengthen, develop, and promote language programs and services;
Establish connections and strong working relationships with WRFCHCS staff and community
Develop a supportive and professional rapport with the community and elders.
Act as a positive role model to promote professional values and ethics within the Arapaho community;
Gather Best Practices for Language Immersion Programs
Engage with Arapaho Language learners and elders to assist in promoting language and cultural practices within the community.
Develops and implements policies, procedures, and competencies for the department to ensure safety, adherence to state and federal regulations, and staff development.
Participates in selection of new staff and conducting interviews.
Conducts employee evaluations at the probationary and yearly evaluation period per WRFCHC policy.
Responsible for timekeeping of all Department Staff in accordance with WRFCHC policies and procedures.
Issues and documents employee disciplinary action per Human Resources policy.
Develops and implements strategies to achieve organizational goals and objectives.
Attend and participate in all in-services, staff meetings, and parent council meetings.
Offer input to the Director, and or Curriculum Materials Developer regarding activities and materials for the classroom.
Other duties as assigned to maintain and enhance the operation of the department.
Knowledge of Arapaho Language and culture and a continuous drive to learn.
Degree in Indigenous Studies or equivalent education.
Knowledge of the Arapaho language and culture is an asset.
Minimum four years of experience in project management, outreach, and community engagement.

Knowledge of early childhood development is preferred.

The position will report to the CEO, Wind River Family and Community Health Care System. The Division of Early Childhood Healthy Care and Development will enable the utilization of Arapaho Culture and Language as a component of viable health promotion and prevention. The Administrator will incorporate the most current and effective approaches in early childhood learning through immersive tribal language and culture in the child care and early learning services offered by WRFCHCS. This approach is designed to reduce health disparities and address the social determinants of health.
The Administrator is responsible for assisting with the development and delivery of an immersive early childhood learning center that promotes health and child development and revitalization of the Arapaho language among the children and their families. The Administrator will work a team-based approach for assisting the child care and early learning center administrators/supervisors/staff and as the liaison between their work/services and the services offered by and through WRFCHCS. The Administrator will assist in development of direct and adjunct services offered under the Division and serve as the liaison between the child care/early learning services and the various WRFCHCS and community partnerships.
Coordinates the recruitment of new students and conducts informational sessions at schools and in the community for prospective families.
Coordinates with community child education and development programs to ensure articulation of programs design and curriculum.
Communicates frequently with parents to update them on Language, Education, and Wellness activities, to identify community resources and to help parents support their students’ academic growth.
Works with child care/learning center administrators/supervisors to adopt criteria for teacher certification, recruitment and hiring and serves on interview committees.
Develops and implements a certification and other training programs direct providers of child care/early learning services on the adopted, best practice education model and approach, which incorporates Arapaho language and cultural immersion in promotion of healthy child development.
Develops a list of community language resources (e.g. available speakers, venues for field trips) that can facilitate authentic use of Arapaho language.
Develops an understanding of curriculum that will be used in the Language Immersion curriculum, and researches supplemental materials and resources.
Creates and monitors procedures for staff to collaborate on planning and implementing the instructional program.
Stays current on research and best practices related to the education of language learners, attend trainings and conferences to build knowledge.
Engages in networking with school districts for grade advancement or promotion.
Ensures that program communications are up-to-date (website, video, brochure)
Communicates with WRCHCS and other staff to advocate for the needs of the students
Responsible for implementation and utilization of database for tracking student data, creation of timelines for reporting, and providing evaluation of outputs and outcomes for the CEO, WRFCHCS.

Serves as a member of the Behavioral Health Team in the outpatient clinic at the Wind River Family & Community Health Care Center. Providing behavioral health treatment to individuals, families, and groups.
Provides intakes, assessments, and treatment planning for patient care.

Provides clinical support for the Medical Department and provides consultation services on mental health matters to other WRFCHC professional and allied staff.
Refer patients for admission to acute psychiatric inpatient settings when level of care cannot be provided in-house. Coordinates all such referrals and ensures provision of timely follow-up care as required.
Participates with other medical professionals in educating the community and medical staff on mental health issues, including crisis intervention.

Provides mental health case management to patient of the behavioral health departments. Case manager will follow up, monitor, participate in crisis management, and connect with other services.
Provides case management services consisting of:
Linkage – Working with clients and/or service providers to secure access to needed services. Activities include communication with agencies to arrange for appointments or services following the initial referral process and preparing clients for these appointments. Contact with hospitalized clients, hospital/institution staff, and/or collateral to facilitate the client’s reintegration into the community.
Monitoring/Follow-Up – Contacting the client or others to ensure that a client is following a prescribed service plan and monitoring the progress and impact of that plan.
Referral – Arranging initial appointments for clients with service providers or informing clients of services available, addresses, and telephone numbers of agencies providing services.
Advocacy – Advocacy on behalf of a specific client for the purpose of accessing needed services. Activities may include making and receiving telephone calls and the completion of forms, applications, and reports which assist the client in accessing needed services.
Crisis Intervention – Crisis intervention and stabilization are provided in situations requiring immediate attention/resolution for a specific client. The case manager may provide the initial intervention in a crisis and would assist the client in gaining access to other needed crisis services.

Psychologists will assist the Behavioral Health Department by providing both psychological evaluations and consulting to behavioral health clinicians as well as provide individual and group mental health therapy.
Responds to referrals from the Behavioral Health and Medical Providers

Functions as a member of the clinical team, assessing nutritional needs of WRFCHC patients. This includes, but is not limited to planning, coordinating, and evaluating the nutritional component of health care services for specific comorbidities and throughout the life span.
Works independently and in collaboration with WRFCHC medical team(s) and community outreach programs.
Conducts nutritional assessment and provides Medical Nutrition Therapy (MNT) based on disease process, using the Nutrition Care Process (NCP). Disease processes may include but are not limited to prediabetes, diabetes, gestational diabetes, diabetes during pregnancy, adult obesity, childhood obesity, malnutrition, chronic kidney disease, hypertension, and hyperlipidemia.
Provides diabetes nutrition counseling/education to the patients and their families that are consistent with cultural, social, and physiological requirements.
Works with the diabetes educator/coordinator for each facility in coordinating services aimed at reducing the incidence of diabetes, assists in maintaining the diabetes registry assuring all data is current and accurate, analyzes and interprets diabetes data, compiles diabetes-related reports including diabetes audit and cost and care report.
Responsible for educating diabetic patients about disease, process, management, complications, and treatment using the Association of Diabetes Care and Education Specialists (ADCES).
Assist the diabetes educator/coordinator in coordinating all preventive care for the diabetic patients, including, but not limited to annual labs, EKG, retinal eye exams, dental exams, etc.
Observe patients, record significant conditions and reactions, and notify the supervisor or primary care provider (PCP) of the patient’s condition and reaction to drugs, treatments, and significant incidents of in-person visits.
Initiates a patient education plan according to the individualized needs of the patient, as prescribed by the PCP including patient and family instruction.
Participates in department or WRFCHC quality improvement activities as needed.
Keep up with or contribute to the latest food and nutritional science research.

The Dialysis Patient Care Technician Position provides safe and acceptable dialysis treatment under the supervision of a registered nurse. This position communicates with patients, families, and the health care team to provide services according to the patient care plan ensuring high-quality patient care, and maintaining compliance with all regulatory guidelines and Wind River Family and Community Health Care standards.
Performs basic patient care activities.
Observes patients and reports unusual conditions and/or reactions to RN.
Obtain blood samples for laboratory analysis as required to complete physician orders.
Perform duties at all times under the supervision of a Registered Nurse and within limitations established by and in accordance with company policy and procedures, applicable state and federal laws and regulations.
Use appropriate safety measures including personal protective equipment as necessary.
Clean, disinfect, and rinse dialysis machines in accordance with policy and procedures.
Prepare machines for hemodialysis treatments.
Obtain pre and post treatment weights of patients per protocols.
Safely initiate and terminate dialysis treatments per center protocol, and within scope of practice and as allowed by state regulations.
Monitor patients during dialysis treatments.
Accurately document patient vitals, treatment data, and any changes or concerns in patient records.
Mix acids and bicarbonate according to protocol.
Complete water testing on a dialysis machine at the beginning of each treatment day and as directed by the Administrator. Complete/document quality control logs throughout the day and after all treatments, as required.
Responds to the patient’s needs with compassion and concern.
Participate in staff meetings as required including in-service and continuing education that are offered for certifications.

The Dialysis Registered Nurse position provides direct patient care to individuals undergoing dialysis treatment. Conducts pre-dialysis patient assessment including obtaining patient vital signs and assessing the patient’s vascular access, laboratory findings, and the patient’s general health
Oversees Nephrology Technicians in the performance of dialysis from start to finish, monitors patient reaction to treatment, blood pressure and performance of the dialysis machines every 30 minutes and demonstrates an in-depth understanding of the mechanics of dialysis.
Reviews physician orders for dialysis patients, collects pre-treatment dialysis data, and reviews patient records prior to dialysis treatments.
Reviews physician orders from the Nephrologists as appropriate and administers dialysis related intra-venous and/or oral medications as prescribed and/or per protocol.
Verifies that patients are taking all prescribed medications and performs medication reconciliation.
Documents findings of patient’s assessments and interventions and advise Nephrologist of any significant change in the patient’s condition and other pertinent informationc
Performs other treatments and diagnostic tests such as blood sugar testing and other tests required as part of patient treatment.
Responds appropriately and provides assistance in emergency situations.
Continually functions as a patient educator. Provides patient education/teaching applicable to the patient’ s medical condition.
Conducts post dialysis assessment and patient discharge by evaluating treatment, documenting medication administration utilizing the appropriate protocols, assessing condition of vascular access, discharging the patient when vital signs are stable, and documenting and recording patient treatment data.
Discusses patient concerns and answers questions relevant to care.
Assesses, prepares, and cannulates a patient’ s vascular access (including needle insertion in arteriovenous fistula or grafts for aseptic connection with dialysis equipment).
Utilizes sterile techniques to assess the dialysis catheter exit site and to apply dressing on the patient’ s vascular access (dialysis catheter, arteriovenous access) per protocols.
Confirms acceptable water quality prior to beginning dialysis treatments. Cleans and disinfects dialysis equipment before and after each treatment.
Oversees disassembly and disinfection of dialysis equipment before and after each treatment. Disposes of biohazardous waste in accordance with policy & procedure
Maintains equipment per manufacturer’s recommendations. Labels and/or removes defective equipment from the treatment area and arranges for repair.
Performs surveillance and testing of dialysis water treatment equipment and dialysis water (such as chlorine, hardness, conductivity, water cultures) to ensure that these machines are operating within the parameters set in the facility’s written protocols.
Assures that machine alarms are functional prior to dialysis treatments.
Oversees the preparation of the delivery system, dialysate bath, and dialyzer and confirms that all mandatory alarm tests on the dialyzer and equipment are performed. Performs dialyzer reuse according to facility standards, if applicable.
Utilizes supplies efficiently to contain costs. Documents charges and services and/or credits supplies accurately.
Completes an incident report following any unusual occurrence that could have implications for risk management.
Cooperates with the End Stage Renal Disease Network 15 goal to collect data.
Refers patients to other disciplines or services as needed (Dietitian, Renal Social Worker, etc.).
Provides leadership in improving patient care, maintaining standards of care, directing and teaching personnel in a variety of settings, and providing charge nurse responsibilities as needed.

The Dialysis Facility Administrator is responsible for overseeing the overall operations of the Dialysis Center, ensuring that patient care, staffing, financial management, and regulatory compliance are maintained to the highest standards. Bachelor’s degree with one years’ experience in health service administration, preferably in a renal dialysis center.
Current and active RN State licensure with three years of experience in a renal dialysis center.
Proven experience (3-5 years) of managing a healthcare facility, preferably in dialysis or nephrology.
Knowledge of dialysis operations, healthcare regulations, and financial management.
Flexibility to work evenings, weekends and holidays as needed

This position is located in the Health Information Management department. The purpose of this position is to perform quantitative and qualitative analysis of the health record, ensure accurate and timely documentation by the medical and clinical staff. This position reports to the Health Information Management Supervisor.
Lead Functions:
The lead coder will facilitate the transition of preceptee/new coder, or a coder who may need assistance with improving coding competency, by providing an atmosphere conducive to the professional growth of both the lead coder and preceptee. Duties will include:
Maintaining open communication between the HIM Director/Supervisor, the Business Office Manager, and the coding staff.
Maintains and develops the professional integrity and self esteem of the new coder to individualize orientation and teaching based on identified learning needs
Monitors the status and progress of work and day-to-day activities in accordance with established priorities.
Instructs employees in specific tasks and job techniques and makes available written instructions, reference materials and supplies.4
Gives on the job training to new coders and students to provide the individual with the basic knowledge, skill, and ability to perform the full range of routine and non-routine responsibilities required.
Distributes and balances the workload among employees in accordance with established workflow or job specifications, assures timely accomplishment of assigned workload.
Analyzes and recommends improvements in documentation systems used to provide patient care to optimize workload, third-party reimbursement, and to manage resources.
Identifies training needs of individuals based on productivity and accuracy reports, rejects from billing, and spot checks. Makes recommendations to the supervisor concerning disciplinary actions due to insufficient performance and identifies continuing education needs.
Performs quarterly (random) audit for documentation accuracy, assignment of diagnosis and procedure codes, omissions, etc., for compliance.
Compile monthly coder productivity reports and submits to Supervisor.
Run validation and error reports monthly and distribute them to coders for correction.
Maintain ICD-1 picklists and CPT, HCPCS superbills in the electronic health record (EHR), updating yearly and as needed for additions or deletions.
Retract notes due to duplicate or wrong patient documentation as requested per HIPAA guidelines.
Coder duties:
Performs highly technical and specialized functions for the Wind River Family and Community Health Care. Analyzes and codes diagnostic and procedural information that determines Medicare, Medicaid and private insurance programs.
Quantitative analysis: performs a comprehensive review for the health records to assure the presence of all component parts such as patient and record identification, signatures, and dates where required, and other necessary data in the presence of all reports which appear to be indicated by the nature of the treatment rendered.
Qualitative analysis: evaluates the health record for documentation consistency and adequacy. Ensures that the final diagnosis accurately reflects the care and treatment rendered. Reviews the health record for compliance with established third party reimbursement agencies and special screening criteria.
Analyzes provider documentation to assure appropriate evaluation and management (E & M) levels are assigned using the correct CPT Code.
Minimum Qualifications: minimum of one (1) year of experience in medical coding in a healthcare setting, which demonstrates expert knowledge of established professional medical coding processes, procedures and protocols, along with any supporting certifications such as BLS and other necessary competencies.
Medical terminology, abbreviations, anatomy, and physiology, major disease processes and pharmacology knowledge.
Skill in correlating laboratory, radiology treatments and results with diagnoses.
Extensive knowledge of coding conventions and rules established by the American Medical Association (AMA) and the Health Care Finance Administration (HCFA) for assignment of diagnostic and procedural codes.
Extensive knowledge of classification systems and references such as the International Classification of Diseases (ICD), Diagnostic Related Groups (DRGs), Ambulatory Patient Classifications (APCs), and Current Procedural Terminology (CPT).
Knowledge of Health Information Management theory, principal, practices, techniques, concepts and policies to analyze the health record and participate in performance improvement activities.

This position works with the Supervisor to supervise the subordinate employees that perform laboratory and x-ray services. Under the collaboration of the Chief Medical Officer, the Same Day Medical Provider’s primary responsibility is to provide same-day care to patients of all ages presenting on the walk-in cue. Patient concerns range from medication refill requests to urgent needs related to injury and acute illness. A preference will be given to providers with strong procedural skills including splinting, suturing, incision and drainage of abscesses, toenail removal, fluorescein application for eye injury, joint injection, and experience in urgent care. Providers with experience in primary care are also preferred as this role requires a focus on ensuring each patient’s greater healthcare needs are met. A strong walk-in provider will identify and provide care related to chronic conditions, including ensuring follow-up with the primary care provider.
Provides primary care to patients, including histories, exams, lab tests, prescriptions, and referrals within prescribed up-to-date guidelines and protocols.
Performs accurate and timely documentation of histories, subjective findings, physical exams, plans, and prescriptions with timely follow-up in EHR after the visit.
Assures that health education is provided with each patient encounter when applicable.

Engages patients in participation and decisions involving their healthcare.

The Environmental Health Specialist (EHS) coordinates a standard approach to local environmental health issues surrounding the Northern Arapaho Communities. This position coordinates with Billings Area Office Personnel as well as local agencies to conduct and complete comprehensive surveys on local facilities, injury prevention, epidemiological investigations and reports all conclusions and findings to the appropriate agencies.
The EHS will submit monthly reports that summarize all environmental health service’s activities completed during that time frame to the supervisor and Chief Executive Officer of Wind River Family and Community Health Care (WRFCHC).
The EHS will complete survey reports on all facilities listed in the Indian Health Service (IHS) Environmental Health Reporting System, also known as WebEHRS, in accordance with current IHS Guidelines.
The EHS will educate communities on environmental health issues.
The EHS will perform a variety of functions in the environmental health field including providing technical assistance, conducting inspections or surveys, and responding to illness outbreaks and food recalls.
Plans, implements and evaluates a comprehensive environmental health program on the Wind River Reservation that emphasizes safe water, solid and hazardous waste management, food protection, occupational health and safety, vector control, community injury prevention, healthy homes, and institutional health.
Builds tribal capacity to manage environmental health hazards in their community by assisting with the development of environmental health and occupational safety policies, procedures, regulations, employee training programs and public education materials.
Serves as a technical consultant to tribal program managers and leaders by assisting them with environmental health hazard identification and mitigation.
Performs epidemiological and infection control investigations to identify environmental factors with the potential for transmission of disease.
Serves as the Community Injury Prevention facilitator for the Wind River Reservation by assisting the Northern Arapaho Tribe in the development of an interdisciplinary and epidemiological approach to reduce injuries.
Under the guidance of medical staff, advises the public on preventive health and safety precautions to follow during a potential environmental health threat.
Manage the WRFCHC integrated pest management approach for reducing populations of disease vectors and public health pests.
The EHS will provide oversight to the WRFCHC animal control operation to minimize zoonotic disease, animal bites and community education to vaccinate animals and spay/neuter pets.
Completes probationary and yearly evaluations for animal control staff in accordance with WRFCHC policy.
Supervision of the animal control staff including training and issuing disciplinary action in accordance with WRFCHC policy.

The Purchased Referred Care (PRC) Director will oversee the PRC department to provide support and technical assistance to Administration on matters involving PRC including medical, surgical, dental, hospital, and clinical services to all eligible beneficiaries in conjunction with or in lieu of services performed at local Tribal healthcare facilities. The incumbent shares responsibilities for program planning, development, administration, management, operation, and evaluation of a comprehensive PRC program. The PRC Director will perform difficult and complex assignments which vary in scope and encompass a variety of program activities. This role requires strong customer service, leadership, coaching, organization, communication, complex analytical and problem solving skills.
Design, implement, and manage the PRC program that addresses the specific specialty healthcare needs of the Wind River Reservation.
Provides leadership and oversight to the PRC program and teams.
Ensures development of PRC initiatives to improve patient satisfaction and family centered care.
Collaboration with other internal departments and external specialty vendors for PRC program initiatives.
Leads and/or serves on a variety of appropriate internal and external committees to represent Wind River Family and Community Health Care (WRFCHC) PRC program.
Reviews, analyzes, and summarizes pertinent financial, statistical, and program data.
Develops yearly PRC spending plan to maximize the funds allocated to PRC for each Fiscal Year.
Maintains weekly fund status reports to provide current PRC funding level to Administration.
Prepares monthly reconciliation reports, identifies and corrects discrepancies on payments and adjustments.
Responsible for reporting of Catastrophic Health Emergency Fund (CHEF) cases, working closely with PRC staff, medical staff, IHS office staff, and Claims Management Program to report, manage, and monitor high cost cases funded through the CHEF program.
Monitors all unpaid open documents (pended) received from Claims Management Program, working closely with the vendors and providers to resolve.
Provides administrative and technical supervision to the PRC department staff by preparing schedules, assigning work based on needs of the department, advising, coaching, or issuing disciplinary action, and completing evaluations per WRFCHC Human Resource’s policy.
Develops, coordinates and integrates operational plans in accordance with approved policies and directives pertinent to the administration and management of the WRFCHC PRC program requirements (eligibility, payer of last resort, residency, etc.)
Prepare and present reports on program progress to executive management.
Research, develop, write, update, and implement PRC policies, standard operating procedures, competencies, and checklists in compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and organizational standards.
Participates in the weekly PRC referral review committee meetings.
Works with supervisor/CEO in establishing vendor contracts for Medicare Like Rate (MLR) agreements.
Reviews walk-through (emergent) referrals on an as needed basis. Approves or denies referrals based on administrative eligibility criteria.
Establishes and maintains mechanisms for assuring that patients register for benefits for which they may be eligible to ensure WRFCHC PRC program is a payer of last resort for referred services.
Manages appeals and denials at the local (WRFCHC) level with assistance from the PRC staff.
Assists with compiling training materials regarding the PRC process for internal and external stakeholders.
Trains vendors, interdisciplinary staff/departments on the PRC process, regulations, administrative processes, and other training needs.

The primary responsibilities of this position involve providing clinical case management support to the Purchased Referred Care (PRC) program, coordinating health care services between inpatient, outpatient care teams, external vendors, and PRC. Serves as a clinical liaison and resource for staff for clarifying provider referrals/orders.
Assists with the care coordination and care management of patients/referrals.
Reviews referrals daily assigning a medical priority rating utilizing PRC Medical Priorities formulated by the Chief Medical Officer and Chief Executive Officer to facilitate a seamless transition of care.
Facilitates communication with clinical teams to ensure referrals are appropriate and timely.
Serves as a team lead for the referral database.
Ensures the tracking processes of referrals are appropriate and meet patient-centered guidelines.
Co-manages patient care needs with outside agency case managers and social workers of hospitalized patients that transition levels of care to ensure the patient receives the most cost-effective, appropriate and timely treatment.
Works with referral vendors and other partners to ensure appropriate and timely referral processes.
Attends meetings as a resource for the Referrals Review Committee and as an advocate for the patient/family.
Participates in designing improved clinical care delivery systems, identifies opportunities, and sets priorities to continuously improve the referral process and organizational performance through data collection and monitoring activities.
Promotes the coordination, collaboration, and continuity of care by direct services as a case manager.

Analyzes patterns of service authorization decisions and service usage in order to determine the means for increasing the value of services provided.
Analyzes trends in patient care and referrals, develops customized reports according to specific criteria and presents such in an organized, professional, and cohesive manner.
Evaluates high cost services, highly utilized services, services associated with a high number of patient grievances/appeals, and services that are over and under utilized.
Ensures implementation of improved planning/corrective actions by analyzing EHR data, average length of stay for specified service, client and provider satisfaction, studies of over/under utilization, inpatient admissions, and utilization of alternatives to high cost care.

The Right of Way Coordinator performs all tasks related to tribal trust and fee right-of-way activities for the Northern Arapaho Tribe through WRFCHC. The Family Advocate will work directly with victims of domestic violence, sexual assault, child abuse, mass violence and other types of victimization.
Develop or maintain case plans for each family assigned.
Offer services and referrals from community partners, coordinating and accompanying victims and families to medical exams and court, attending any meetings the victims or family may request advocate support at and acting as a liaison between members of the MDT and child victims and their family.
Work with partner agencies to refer families to additional services as deemed appropriate, such as housing, healthcare, counseling, and educational resources.
Ensure that all assigned individuals or families receive equitable services through case coordination, direct victim services, and by educating partner agencies on evidence based, best practices when working with families in crisis.

Complete 40 hours of Victim Assistance Training and 8 hours of additional training every 2 years.

Family advocates may be scheduled and stationed at the various WRFCHCS locations to increase accessibility for victims and decrease response time when a crisis occurs. Responsible for the supervision of the Transitional Home during the weekend. The Weekend Supervisor will provide a safe, trauma informed, supportive environment for all residents.
Supervise staff and maintain a schedule for all weekend employees.
Treat all clients with dignity and respect and work with residents to provide support, encouragement, and guidance.
Accurately report incidents or any behavior that includes significance on provided forms.
Assist and supervise clients with preparation of meals.
Assist clients with scheduling appointments, chores, community service and other activities.
Assist in the transportation of clients, adhering to all traffic and safety laws.
Communicate difficulties and or concerns regarding client’s behaviors to the supervisor as appropriate.
Ensure shift chores are completed, especially the deep cleaning of the facility.
Conduct alcohol and drug screening in conjunction with visits and employment.
Conduct compliance room checks and inspect all incoming resident’s property.
Other duties as assigned to maintain/enhance the operation of the WBRC department.
GED/High School Diploma.
Prefer (1) year of working with substance abuse clients.
Must have two (2) years of continuous recovery of being clean and sober.
Must possess a valid driver license and meet insurance standards and maintain insurability under WRFCHCs insurance program.
Must be able to pass a criminal background check under the Indian Child Protection Act and Family Act (P.L.101-630).
First Aid/AED/CPR within 60 days of hire.

The Licensed Clinical Provider provides professional services to individuals and groups with substance use disorders.
Completes Addiction Severity Index (ASI) assessment to determine appropriate ASAM Level of Care.
Develops individualized treatment plans with patients based on ASI assessment and ASAM Level of Care Recommendations.
Conducts individual, group, and family substance abuse therapy with patients based on ASAM Level of Care Recommendations.
Completes case management tasks as necessary.
Completes necessary documentation according to CARF accreditation and 3rd party payer standards.
Completes paperwork requirements to maintain quality, up-to-date records, including progress notes and other relevant information, enter the necessary information into the electronic health record (EHR) system, ACCUCARE.
Ensure all clinical documentation, services and issues will be reviewed with a designated qualified Clinical Supervisor a minimum of 1 hour per week for 20 hours of direct clinical care.
Adheres to NAADAC Code of Ethics, as well as the Wind River Family and Community Health Care and White Buffalo Recovery Center policies and procedures.
Collaborates with WHRFCHC and other Tribal departments for continuity of care.
Other duties as assigned to maintain and enhance the operation of the program.
Masters’ level education or higher in Social Work, Professional Counseling, Marriage, and Family Therapy.
Licensed or Provisionally (LPC, LMFT, LCSW, Licensed Psychologist, PPC, PMFT, PCSW)
Current licensure, or the ability to obtain the appropriate licensure within a reasonable amount of time (under the supervision of personnel currently in place) and has already passed the test required for licensure.
Must have 2 years of continuous sobriety from drugs and/or alcohol.
Must have the ability to work in a variety of settings with culturally diverse families and communities, with the ability to be culturally sensitive and culturally appropriate.

Responsible for providing outreach in the tribal community to educate tribal elders, leaders, and other members including the population of focus and relevant others about the availability of the services at White Buffalo. Using knowledge of the population of focus, develop or contribute to development of a logical and safe targeted outreach plan to engage participants (or referrals of participants) and provide presentations at tribal community meetings and relevant events.
Participate in on-going community outreach, needs assessment, survey implementation, key informant interviews, focus groups and more as needed.
Participate in the delivery of strategic messaging, social marketing, other communication technologies, and community prevention activities.
Maintain outreach logs reflecting outreach activities (not identifying individuals).
Make appropriate referrals to outside sources e.g., health centers, treatment programs, mental health agencies, housing, and other organizations as required, including assisting with the intake process for substance abuse treatment.
Disseminate the opioid overdose antidote, naloxone if needed.
Provide or arrange for participant transportation and other barrier reduction as appropriate.
Comply with all program standards, policies, and safety procedures.

The Transitional House Manager is responsible for assisting in the oversight and management of the White Buffalo Recovery Transitional House. This facility is an ASAM Level 3.1 Community Transitional Home operated in Arapahoe.
Supervise all direct staff and operational oversight including program and services development and support for the Transitional House.
Implementation of system-level strategic plans, policies and procedures.
Works daily with residents to provide support, encouragement, and guidance.
Ensuring efficient and effective daily operations and delivery of professional services in a safe and secure recovery environment.
Assists in coordination of crisis and emergency situations with the clinical staff.
Work in conjunction with other department staff to administer scheduled program curriculum and other activities utilized for treatment and rehabilitation of substance abuse as well as recovery support.
Ensuring compliance with relevant regulations including CARF, Indian Health Service standards and certifying agency standards.
Advise staff in the management of records and information to ensure compliance with all confidentiality laws including HIPAA and 42 CFR Part 2.
