Wind River Family & Community Health Care is seeking applicants for the position of First Impression Representative. Wind River Family & Community Health Care provides ambulatory health care for the service population of the Wind River Reservation. The First Impressions Representative serves as a member of the support staff of the ambulatory health care clinic located in Arapahoe, Wyoming, and will report directly to the H.I.M.Supervisor.
This position as First Impressions Representative will be responsible for providing everyday, vital, and special services that assist patients of the WRFCHC. The successful candidate will be initially responsible for taking initial calls and meeting the people who come to the front windows within WRFCHC. The successful applicant is responsible for maintaining productive communication links with patients and the WRFCHC. The First Impressions team will help guide the clients through our health care system, to help ensure that the clients obtain the proper and needed benefits or Clinic services available to them.
The successful candidate will obtain signatures for file on required forms for Alternate Resources and Purchased Referred Care prior to patients being seen in the clinics for billing purposes and/or Purchased Referred Care eligibility.
Maintains, key-enters, updates and verifies Alternate Resources data necessary for patient registration and for accurate billing through the use of the RPMS system.
Makes corrections as necessary to improve the Patient Registration System.
Updates addressograph data with current Alternate Resource information.
Collects third party recipient health cards, obtains photocopies of the card and explains the program to beneficiaries; i.e., why Medicare, Medicaid, and/or private/commercial insurance will be billed for the services they receive at the Wind River Family and Community Health Care facility.
Interviews patient to obtain information to initiate a new health record.
Other duties as assigned.
Minimum Required Education and Experience:
High School Diploma or General Educational Development preferred but not required.
Ability to work with sensitivity in a cross-cultural environment.
Excellent interpersonal skill.
Some knowledge of the medical field is a plus.
The incumbent must maintain strict confidentiality and high ethical standards in performing the position. The incumbent needs to be respectful, possess cultural awareness and sensitivity, be flexible, and demonstrate sound work ethics.
