The Financial Reporting and Auditing Manager will be responsible for the preparation and distribution of all necessary financial reports required by the CEO of WRFCHC, and ensures that all work is carried out to meet the objectives of the WRFCHC in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles for governmental accounting. The required report generation and submission to the CEO must be done in a timely, coordinated manner, with highly accurate results.
Performs duties and responsibilities under the supervision of the CEO of the Wind River Family and Community Health Care.
Must have High School Diploma or GED.
Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, Business Administration or a closely related field, or a minimum of three years experience managing or using a computerized high volume and diverse accounting system, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Advanced level of expertise and experience with MIP software is necessary.
Advanced knowledge of governmental accounting and business accounting and auditing standards and practices.
Knowledge of Native American culture and experience with Tribal Government issues strongly preferred.
Above average understanding of process flow and procedures.
Ability to demonstrate good planning, organizing and coordinating skills.
Knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Excel and Word.
Excellent communication and report writing skills.
Able to work effectively under time pressure and constraints.
Must be bondable.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Participates in the preparation, maintenance and monitoring of WRFCHC accounting functions, including budget and payment activities, periodic invoicing, financial reporting, communications with vendors, reconciliations and rebudgeting, financial status reports for each department of the WRFCHC system, final invoices, purchase order liquidations, and final reporting.
Must have the ability to apply laws, policies and contract provisions pertaining to financial accounting and reporting procedures.
Must have advanced knowledge of the MIP system, advanced knowledge of accounting and fiscal reporting rules and regulations, principles, methods and practices of financial record keeping and employment contracts, Federal and State laws, and departmental policies and procedures relative to WRFCHC financial administration.
Analyze complex financial data and prepare accurate records and reports.
Maintains controls for financial reporting, accounting procedures to ensure correct year-end reports; submit final transmittals for both State and Federal information on or before deadlines.
Perform duties under the stress of strict deadlines.
Proofread and reconcile all accounting records to check for arithmetical accuracy, completeness and compliance of regulations.
Establishes and maintains accurate confidential records and files, and communicates effectively both verbally and in the written form.
