Wind River Family & Community Health Care is seeking applicants for the position of Secretary/Scheduler. Wind River Family & Community Health Care provides ambulatory health care for the service population of the Wind River Reservation. The Secretary/Scheduler serves as a member of the administrative team, based at the Wind River Family & Community Health Care Center, located in Arapahoe.
Duties include, but are not limited to:
Produces information by transcribing, formatting, inputting, editing, retrieving, copying and transmitting text, data and graphics.
Conserves supervisors time by reading, researching and routing correspondence, drafting letters and documents, collecting and analyzing information and initiating telecommunications for various personnel, dependent upon which department the successful applicant is assigned to.
Maintains supervisors appointment schedule by planning and scheduling meetings, conferences, teleconferences and travel.
Welcomes guests and customers by greeting them, in person or on the telephone, answering or directing inquiries.
Maintains customer confidence and protects operations by keeping information confidential.
Dependent upon which department assigned to, this person will be responsible for patient scheduling, follow up communication, and the efficient management of appointment scheduling.
Prepares reports by collecting and analyzing information.
Provides historical reference by developing and utilizing filing and retrieval systems; recording meeting discussions and keeping minutes of said meetings.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with some experience or exposure to medical office setting and terminology.
Must be proficient with computer usage, and various common office equipment.
High school diploma or GED are minimum educational requirements, with an Associates Degree in compatible areas preferred.
At least three years experience in a comparable position is required.
The incumbent must maintain strict confidentiality and high ethical standards in performing the position. The incumbent needs to be respectful, possess cultural awareness and sensitivity, be flexible, and demonstrate sound work ethics. The Secretary/Scheduler positions will require excellent writing and reporting skills, scheduling, a high degree of organizational ability and time management skills, along with good verbal communication skills.
