Wind River Family & Community Health Care is seeking applicants for the position of Psychiatric Services Provider/LCSW/LPC. Wind River Family & Community Health Care provides ambulatory health care for the service population of the Wind River Reservation. The Counselor serves as a member of the team in the outpatient clinic at the Wind River Family & Community Health Care Center, located in Arapahoe, Wyoming.


The candidates’ primary responsibilities are to perform psychiatric services for the Wind River Family and Community Health Center patients. The successful candidate will work cooperatively with clinic administration, other tribal entities and outside organizations, to secure the best possible outcomes for clients and family.


The candidate will:

Provides direct patient care to diagnose and treat patients with a wide range of psychiatric disorders, as well as perform psychological evaluations.
Provides clinical support for the Behavioral Health and Medical Departments, and provides consultation services on psychiatric matters to other WRFCHC professional and allied staff.
Refers patients for admission to acute medical and/or psychiatric inpatient settings when such care cannot be provided in house.
Coordinates and integrates information on all such referrals and assures provision of timely follow up care as required.
Participates with other medical professionals in educating the community and medical staff on health issues.
Prepares and maintains behavioral health medical records for all patients seen in accordance with WRFCHC policies and procedures, as well as regulatory requirements and requirements of accreditation bodies and third party payers.
Provides printed and verbal instructions at time of office encounter.
Enhances patient participation in self-care by patient and family health education.
Provides public health education beyond patient visit, which include speaking at community events and writing for publications.
Collaborates with other clinical departments for continuity of care, and other Tribal departments (Social Services, CFS) when requested by patient or department.
Participates in medical triage, medical provider and behavioral health staff meetings, as well as administrative meetings.
Performs other duties as assigned by supervisor.


Qualifications:

Masters’ level education in behavioral health is required, as well as current licensure, or the ability to obtain the appropriate licensure within a reasonable amount of time, under the supervision of personnel currently in place.
Psychologists must possess a Phd. in clinical or counseling psychology, as well as have current licensure.
Experience with all age ranges preferred.
Must have strong interpersonal skills, working with individuals from diverse backgrounds.
Must respect all others regardless of age, gender, ethnicity or income level.
Must be committed to providing comprehensive health care to the individual, family and community.
Must be able to work as a team member and develop productive and cooperative working relationships with health care providers within the facility as well as allied healthcare and social service providers.
Experience working within a multi-disciplinary treatment team is preferred.
Some supervisory experience preferred for psychologists.
Must be familiar with, and abide by the applicable policy and procedures, as well as necessary rules/statutes. (Provided)
