Wind River Family & Community Health Care is seeking applicants for the position of Benefits Specialist . Wind River Family & Community Health Care provides ambulatory health care for the service population of the Wind River Reservation. The Benefits Coordinator serves as a member of the administration team, based at the Wind River Family & Community Health Care Center, located in Arapahoe, Riverton and Ethete Wyoming, and falls under the direct supervision of the HR Manager.
The candidate performs a variety of complex and confidential secretarial and administrative duties requiring a thorough knowledge of organizational procedures. Provides clerical assistance and performs related work as required.
Duties include, but are not limited to:
Assists employees with W-4 and I-9 forms.
Assists with completing all paperwork for employees entering payroll.
Compliance all existing governmental labor requirements;
EEO, FMLA, ADA, DOL and Worker Compensation
Records for personal transactions such as hiring, promotions, transfers, performance reviews and terminations
Responds to inquiries regarding policies, procedures and programs
Administers initial enrollment for tribal employees who are going to participate in health benefits.
Withholds health care premiums, and provides plan guidance.
Provides benefit counseling to WRFCHC employees.
Provides informational meetings regarding healthcare and 401(k) plans to WRFCHC employees.
Provides assistance with enrollment forms and resources.
Primary contact for health insurance carriers, and will help resolve issues regarding health insurance.
Develops reports for WRFCHC finance for health insurance 1095 Cs to IRS and Census 401 (k) and 5500s reports to third party administrators
Maintains Tribal Insurance Processing System
Helps administor 401(k) Voya sponsor site.
Input employee information in the National Background Information database and process fingerprints
Maintain H.R. Module and Microix Database
Assists HR Manager in all aspects of the HR department.
Develop and Maintains job descriptions of all WRFCHC employees
Research, develope, write, and update policies, procedures, methods and guidelines
Update job announcements on appropriate websites.
Other duties as assigned.
Current and valid drivers’ license.
Must pass mandatory drug and alcohol screening.
Must be insurable: i.e. no DWUI convictions within the last five years.
The incumbent must maintain strict confidentiality and high ethical standards in performing the position. The incumbent needs to be respectful, possess cultural awareness and sensitivity, be flexible, and demonstrate sound work ethics.
