JOB SUMMARY:

The Custodial Services Supervisor oversees and manages the operational, technical, and personnel activities of the Custodial Services Department, ensuring the cleanliness and sanitization of facilities in accordance with WRFCHC Policies and Procedures and regulations related to health, safety, and sanitation standards. This role requires leadership and coaching skills, organization, and a commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness and sanitation.


DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Supervise, coach, and direct all Custodial Services Staff, including scheduling, training, and performance management.
Conduct regular inspections of all facilities to ensure compliance and adherence to WRFCHC Policies and Procedures and regulations related to health, safety, and sanitation standards to maintain a safe work environment for WRFCHC staff and building occupants.
Research, develop, write, update, and implement Custodial Services policies, standard operating procedures, competencies, and checklists in compliance with relevant laws and regulations related to health, safety, and sanitation standards.
Research, develop, implement, and conduct ongoing training for all Custodial Services Staff on policies and procedures, safety protocols, and equipment operation to maintain cleanliness and sanitation to optimize efficiency and effectiveness.
Stay current on industry best practices and trends in custodial services
Order and maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment with coordination of Lead Custodians
Coordinate and collaborate, with other departments, for special cleaning projects to ensure proper cleaning and sanitization of facilities
Respond to and resolve complaints and requests in a timely and professional manner.
Maintain SDS folders for all facilities.
Maintain and ensure execution of contracts for linen and biohazard waste pick up.
Address any maintenance issues or safety hazards promptly, and escalate to appropriate personnel if necessary.
Responsible for timekeeping of all Custodial Services Staff in accordance with WRFCHC Policies and Procedures
Monitor all Custodial Services Staff performance, productivity, and address any disciplinary issues in accordance with WRFCHC Policies.
Conduct regular performance evaluations, provide feedback and coaching to all Custodial Services Staff with regard to changes, objectives, and overall goals of the organization.
Coordinate and conduct hiring procedure for Custodial Services Department with Division Leader and Human Resources Department
Perform custodial duties with other Custodial Services Staff, including mopping, sweeping, vacuuming, dusting, and sanitizing facilities.
Other duties as assigned to maintain and enhance the operation of the department.


QUALIFICATIONS:

High School Diploma or equivalent required.
Previous experience in custodial or janitorial work with at least 2 years in a supervisory role.
Familiarity with safety regulations and procedures.
Strong leadership and communication skills.
Knowledge of chemicals, cleaning techniques, equipment operation, and safety protocols.
Attention to detail and commitment to excellence in Custodial Services delivery.
Flexibility to work evenings, weekends and holidays as needed.
Must possess a valid driver license and be eligible for coverage under WRFCHC auto insurance policy.
Must be able to pass a criminal background check under the Indian Child Protection and Family Violence Prevention Act (P.L.101-630).
Current BLS Certification or be able to obtain within 60 days of hire.


WORKING ENVIRONMENT:

Ability to lift up to 25 lbs.
Must be able to stand for extended periods.
May be exposed to blood-borne pathogens.
