JOB SUMMARY:

To provide assistance to the Cultural Service Director and Healing Village Community Coordinator in the implementation of intergenerational family wellness focused group work, and in completing the community need and readiness assessment and other duties that are designed to strengthen the Healing Village project. The Cultural Services Technician will be responsible for all aspects of set up, clean up, organization, inventory, collection of informed consent and data collection efforts for the Traditional Practices to Wellness Office.


DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Responsible for the set-up and cleanup of all Traditional Practices to Wellness Office activities.
Assists with the program data systems including filing, scanning, retrieving, archiving, and researching files.
Assists with maintaining the calendar for program activities, assists with calls and arrangements as requested by the Cultural Service Director.
Assists with distribution of appropriate materials and maintains reference manuals and materials.
Helps to review and verify program data and all data collection and storage.
Assists in the preparation of workshops and culture presentations at Orientation.
Assists in identifying areas in which training is necessary and in distributing information as requested by clinical operations officers or administration.
Will help to recruit youth to participate in the Healing Village Project Youth Council
Transports cultural meeting supplies and equipment needed for training.
Is responsible for setting up technology support for training and meetings.
Other duties as assigned to maintain/enhance the operation of the Traditional Practices to Wellness Office.


QUALIFICATIONS:

High School Diploma
Experience in working with diverse cultures and American Indian populations.
Two years in youth leadership and leadership development activities.
Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs., job requires light physical labor.
Must be able to pass a criminal background check under the Indian Child Protection Act and Family Act (P.L.101-630).
